Help us provide fresh meals to communities in need in Colombia

Since the magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck Colombia on Aug. 11, many of us have watched the news with heavy hearts. For some of us, the places and communities affected are ones we know and love. They are home to our families, our friends and people who mean so much to us. We’ve been asking ourselves the same question many of you have: How can we help?
One way is by supporting World Central Kitchen (WCK), which is responding in Colombia alongside local partners to provide fresh meals to people affected by the earthquake. In the aftermath of a disaster, a meal can mean much more than food. It can provide comfort to a family that has lost its home, nourishment to someone waiting for news of a loved one or simply one less thing to worry about during an incredibly difficult day.
That’s why we’re asking our friends and community here in Arizona to join us in supporting WCK’s response. WCK works with local organizations, restaurants, food trucks and emergency kitchens to get freshly prepared meals to communities as quickly as possible.
Every contribution, no matter the size, can help provide a meal to someone who needs it. If you’re not able to contribute, you can still help by sharing this message with your family, friends and networks. The more people we reach, the more support we can help generate for the communities that need it.
